I would like to tell you about this great program called Google
SketchUp. For those of us that are involved with architecture, or
construction, I have always had a need for a 3D drawing program that
would allow someone with minimal cad experience to be able to
accurately, and completely get there ideas down on paper.this seems
necessary not only to get things strait in ones own head, but also to
convey thoughts to others. Google sketchUp does this and much more, it
also enables you to check the math that goes along with building and it
seems to be very accurate. you could possibly let the program do the
math for you although there may be some minor rounding errors.The final
thing I would like to share with you about SketchUp is that it is a
free download from Google .At the beginning of this article there is a
SketchUp file that I have been working on for a while. This building
is a merchant-samurai class Japanese timber frame that I am currently
building for a timber frame wood shop, It is likely to be the first
standing example of my work.
